Schools in Eddisbury are to benefit from a national multi-million-pound Government funding boost.
Following a rigorous assessment process, The Education Secretary, the Rt Hon Gavin Williamson MP, has announced almost £483 million for 1,466 projects at academies, sixth-form colleges and voluntary aided schools across the country.
In Eddisbury, Acton Church of England Primary Academy, Delamere Church of England Primary Academy, and Tarvin Primary School, as well as Tarporley High School, are set to receive money from the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF).
The aim of CIF is to keep eligible academy, sixth-form college and voluntary aided school buildings safe and in good working order.
Welcoming the funding, Edward Timpson CBE, Conservative MP for Eddisbury said:
“I am very pleased that schools in Acton, Delamere, Tarporley and Tarvin are going to receive funding to make much-needed improvements to school buildings.
“This is a key part of the Government’s promise to level up our country. To help deliver that promise we need to ensure schools have the facilities and classrooms they need to support the education our children deserve.
“This funding will help ensure children have the very best possible schools and education, enabling them to gain all the knowledge and skills they need for success.”
