Crewe and Nantwich MP Edward Timpson and his wife Julia are celebrating after the birth of their fourth child. Eleanor (Nell) Alexandra Timpson arrived on Monday evening at 10.33pm weighing 7lb 13oz. Nell was born at Crewe's Leighton Hospital and Children and Families Minister Edward, praised staff on the maternity ward for the care they received.

£10m grant to prepare Crewe for HS2

Preparations to make Crewe HS2 ready have had a £10m injection from the Government, which has awarded a Local Growth Fund grant over a four year period to support Crewe’s town centre regeneration plans.

Carol singing Nantwich youngsters bring festive cheer to shoppers

Pupils at Nantwich Primary Academy brought Christmas cheer to the shoppers of Nantwich when they entertained them with Christmas carol singing. The youngsters were joined by Crewe and Nantwich MP Edward Timpson, who joined in with all of the Christmas carols and dance actions for the songs. The children raised more than £95 for school funds during the day. And have already decided that they would like to use the money to buy some new sports kits.

MP joins fundraisers to help out hospital

Crewe and Nantwich MP Edward Timpson joined dedicated volunteers to collect vital funds for the Nantwich Christie Hospital Support Group. Charity mascot Christie Bear making the trip from Manchester to help raise a smile. The cold snap was soon forgotten as Nantwich Town Mayor Cllr Andrew Martin and the local police force also lent a hand.

Edward Timpson hails new Crewe Engineering & Design UTC

Crewe & Nantwich MP Edward Timpson has hailed the opening of the new Crewe Engineering & Design UTC. More than 200 students, governors, staff and employer partners were at the opening of the new facility, backed by major businesses such as Bentley Motors, Siemens, Air Products and Network Rail. Crewe E&D UTC, supported by Manchester Metropolitan University, specialises in STEM subjects. It is offering industry-oriented courses, and combines the National Curriculum, Technical Award Qualifications, work experience and business acumen to create routes into employment, apprenticeships or Higher Education.
